EPC Services is looking for a Warranty & Commissioning Construction Manager. This is a fully-remote, Exempt position. Applicants must reside near a major airport and be willing to travel approximately 80% of the time.

This position is a traveling Construction Manager role for individuals with strong knowledge of the means and methods used in the construction of electrical substations, transmission lines, and renewable energy (solar and wind) collection systems. A Warranty & Commissiong Construction Manager (CM) may fill in as a Construction Manager at times and provide direct supervision of all subcontractor’s activities and material receiving on the projects.

The position of Warranty & Commissioning CM is an essential role in the organization. The CM is available on a 24-hour basis to respond to emergencies that may be covered under warranty. The CM is responsible for troubleshooting inquiries for client claims, field response and repairs as well as all aspects of the commissioning activities including client training and relationships for EPC Services projects across the U.S.

Its functions include 1:1 and/or collaborative client discussion of problems, resolution, and timing of repairs. Additional work may include field support of electrical apparatus testing, setting, and testing protective relays and functional verification of control, protection, and alarm circuits. The position will work with project managers to advise on safety, quality control/quality assurance, on-site reporting, environmental compliance inspections, and training as required. This position reports directly to the Project Manager for all project specific issues and reports to the Manager of Warranty & Commissioning for assignment to the projects, for general installation practices, and inspection processes.

Minimum Requirements: Minimum 5 years' experience in transmission line and/or substation construction. Possess a complete understanding of substation, transmission, and distribution systems and ability to explain the function of the components of each system; thorough understanding of the project design documents including all plans, vendor drawings, installation details, and specifications; holds Switching certification or prior experience. OSHA 30 and NFPA 70E.  This position is subject to client mandated drug and background checking. Successful applicants are subject to EPCS's auto insurance carrier requirements.
